2019 COnference

Wrap Up
Last week the Harcourts National Conference was held in Melbourne, the first time it’s been held away from the Gold Coast in years.
A smaller contingent than normal from the west, made the trip east and enjoyed three days of learning, celebrating and networking with the rest of the Harcourts family from around the country and overseas. Once again Harcourts WA did well at the National Awards evening picking up several accolades. I would like to personally thank everybody who were recognised nationally and also thank all of those that took the time and made the investment to attend.

There were several highlights from the event, Josh Phegan as always delivered practical ideas and insights on how to improve sales performance. Chris Helder outlined his Useful Beliefs concept, which can be read in his book of the same name and the week finished off with the inspirational story of John Maclean on his journey from a life changing spinal injury, to completing triathlons, swimming the English channel, to finally being able to walk again! How far can you go?
Clare Seamer, of Harcourts Mandurah also braved the stage to share her story, in the Inspirational Women’s session on the final day, which I know was a nerve wrecking experience for her, but you would have never known.
Well done Clare, it takes a lot of courage to be so vulnerable in front of a room full of people.
As always, there was plenty of fun and laughter at the Circus themed Networking night, where our very own Helen Anderson of Harcourts Alliance won the best dressed female for her Gypsy outfit. An outstanding night was had by all.

I would encourage everyone to set themselves the goal of attending next year’s event, it is an outstanding few days which will re-energise you for the year ahead. Talk with your Business Owners about setting targets and putting aside funds now. It would be great to have as many as we can supporting our WA people.
